City Offices Closed for Christmas and New Year's Holidays

Other than emergency services, all City of Newberry government offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday (December 24th, and December 25th, 2018), in observance of the Christmas holiday. Offices will also be closed on Tuesday, January 1st, 2019 in observance of New Year's Day.

Customers wishing to make a bill payment over the holidays may do so through the City’s telephone system at 352-472-2161 or online (click here). As always you can contact us 24/7 for any needs at 352-472-2161. Outages may be reported online (click here) or over the phone. 

Garbage and Recycling Collection:

The Christmas holiday will not affect curbside residential solid waste and recycling collection services scheduled for Monday (December 24th), in the Newberry curbside collection area. Tuesday through Friday services will be delayed one day. For Christmas week, Tuesday's collection will occur on Wednesday, Wednesday's collection will occur on Thursday, Thursday's collection will occur on Friday and Friday's collection will occur on Saturday.

The New Year's Day holiday will not affect curbside residential solid waste and recycling collection services scheduled for Monday (December 31st), in the Newberry curbside collection area. Tuesday through Friday services will be delayed one day. For New Year's week, Tuesday's collection will occur on Wednesday, Wednesday's collection will occur on Thursday, Thursday's collection will occur on Friday and Friday's collection will occur on Saturday.

The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, January 7th, 2019.
