City Offices Closed for Independence Day

Other than emergency services, all City of Newberry government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. 

Customers wishing to make a bill payment over the holiday may do so through the City’s telephone system at 352-472-2161 or online (click here). As always you can contact us 24/7 for any needs at 352-472-2161. Outages may be reported online (click here) or over the phone. 

Garbage and Recycling Collection:

The  holiday will  affect curbside residential solid waste and recycling collection services scheduled for Thursday (July 4th), in the Newberry curbside collection area. Services will be delayed by one day. Thursday's collection will occur on Friday and Friday's collection will occur on Saturday.

The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, July 8th, 2019.

Commission Meeting

The City Commission Meeting regularly scheduled for July 8th has been canceled and all business items have been postponed until July 22nd.
