NOTICE OF COMMITTEE VACANCY

The City of Newberry is accepting applications for 3 seats on the Opioid Task Force. Applications may be obtained from City Hall, or for an electronic application, please email ADalusio@NewberryFl.Gov. Completed applications must be received no later than 5:00 pm, Thursday,  March 18, 2021, and should be dropped off or emailed to the City of Newberry, Located at 25440 W. Newberry Rd, Newberry, FL 32669.City Hall no later than March 18, 2021.

OPIOID TASK FORCE

The Opioid Task Force has the following duties and responsibilities:

Investigate the root cause or causes of the high levels of addiction in the community;
Develop an action plan, implement prevention measures and address the growing opioid crisis in Newberry, Florida.
To solicit citizen input regarding these issues by public forums or other processes.
To prepare a final report and deliver it to the Mayor and Commissioners, setting forth the findings, recommendations, and any proposals further addressing the opioid epidemic.
