2019 Great American Clean-Up

Saturday, April 6, 2019 - 8:00am to 5:00pm


Join us for our annual City-wide cleanup! This is your chance to help beautify our community with dozens of other like-minded individuals. The City of Newberry, in partnership with Keep Alachua County Beautiful, Alachua County, and Wastepro USA, will be hosting a variety of events this year such as special yard debris collection, and a City-wide waste tire, hazardous material, and general trash roundup.

Limb and Yard Debris Amnesty
Monday, Monday, April 8 - Thursday, April 11: 7 am – 5 pm
Please place all yard waste 5 feet off the road for pick up by staff.
All yard waste must be curbside by Sunday, April 7th. Collection will begin Monday, April 8
Litter and Tire Collection
Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 6: 8 am - 5 pm
Up to 6 tires per customers, residential ONLY, no commercial or industrial businesses. Located at the back of Utilities and Public Works Facility, West Gate.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Saturday, April 6: 8 am - 5 pm
Located at the front of the Public Works Compound, 120 N.W. 260th St. The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department is sponsoring a project to collect, recycle, treat and properly dispose of household hazardous waste such as pesticides, paint, oil, electronics, fertilizers, batteries, medicine, and cleaners.
