Operation Cool Down

 Operation Cool Down is Coming to Your Neighborhood! The City of Newberry and our local Fire Department are teaming up to bring some summer fun to the community with Operation Cool Down!

Grab your swimsuits, bring the family, and get ready for a fun-filled day under the sun as our firefighters visit local neighborhoods to help everyone beat the heat. Kids can enjoy cooling off in the water, meeting their hometown heroes, and enjoying some sweet treats along the way! We're excited to bring this program to the community and create opportunities for families to connect, play, and make memories together.

Please note that while we'd love to visit even more neighborhoods this summer, we are being especially mindful of current drought conditions and water conservation efforts. We hope to add additional communities to the schedule as weather conditions improve and allow.

 A little water, a lot of smiles, and some hometown fun—that's what Operation Cool Down is all about!
