Hosting a Public Event in Newberry?

The City of Newberry is proud to support a wide variety of public events that bring our community together. To ensure safety, coordination, and the best possible experience for all involved, any business, organization, or group planning to host a public event within city limits must complete our official Public Events Request Form.

This form helps us:

  • Coordinate city services (if needed)
  • Ensure proper use of public spaces and facilities
  • Promote events through official city channels when appropriate

Examples of public events include: festivals, parades, community fundraisers, block parties, races, tournaments, and any large gathering open to the general public.

Completing the form does not guarantee approval, but it is the first step in receiving necessary permits or support from the City.

We recommend submitting the form at least 30 days in advance of your planned event.
