Spring Sports

Due to heightened concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19), most sports leagues in our area have been suspended and/or postponed. At Newberry Parks & Recreation, our top priority is always the health and safety of our residents and program participants. As such, we will be postponing all sports programs for four (4) weeks. Both ACTFOR & Babe Ruth leagues will provide updates regarding season rescheduling and postseason procedures. The coming weeks will be critical in limiting the spread of the virus, which we know now, is highly contagious. To keep from overwhelming the health care system, on March 15th, the CDC issued a recommendation to suspend/cancel all social gatherings that consist of more than 50 people. We will continue to monitor the situation very closely and provide updates as we receive them. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or comments. We look forward to getting spring sports up and rolling again as soon as it is safe to do so!

 

 

Fast Pitch Softball - Age Groups 8U-14U
